Are heat pumps waterproof?
We often get question like- will the outdoors weather damage the swimming pool heat pump? The answer is no, they’ll not. All of our heat pumps are designed to go outdoors and are weatherproof. All of Benchmark’s heat pumps will operate perfectly well in all weather conditions, including heavy rain and wind etc.
How energy-efficient is a heat pump compared to other heaters?
Heat pumps typically offer a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 5 or higher. Benchmark’s swimming pool water heaters COP ranges from 4.8-5.8, meaning they deliver 5.8 units of heat for every unit of electricity consumed—making them far more efficient than gas or electric resistance heaters.
